At UCH-Carrollwood, we offer comprehensive medical and surgical
care as well as a number of specialized services within our
newly expanded Medical/Surgical Tower. Providing
advanced technology in the surgical service areas for orthopedics,
gynecologic, vascular surgery and joint replacement procedures. We
are quickly becoming known as Tampa's premier center for orthopedic
spine surgeries!
Included in the new Medical/Surgical Tower will be our new and
expanded 23-bed Intensive Care and Progressive Care units featuring
all private suites. Also available at UCH-Carrollwood is a wide
range of radiological procedures for diagnosis and treatment including
diagnostic imaging from X-rays to ultrasound, mammography, nuclear
medicine, computerized axial tomography (CT) scans, MRI and special
procedures.

The Certified First Assistant prepares and maintains the surgical area,
scrubs and is first assistant to the physician during procedures,
assists the RN in technical functions related to patient care in the OR
and assists in the training of others and functions as a resource within
the department.
Shift Availability: Full-time, Day Shift with call rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of an accredited Surgical
Technology Course with four (4) years experience or six (6) years
experience as a Surgical Technologist. Certification as a Surgical
Technologist or current Florida licensure as Practical Nurse (LPN) with
Nationally recognized First Assistant Certification.
