At UCH-Carrollwood, we offer comprehensive medical and surgical
care as well as a number of specialized services within our
newly expanded Medical/Surgical Tower. Providing
advanced technology in the surgical service areas for orthopedics,
gynecologic, vascular surgery and joint replacement procedures. We
are quickly becoming known as Tampa's premier center for orthopedic
spine surgeries!
Included in the new Medical/Surgical Tower will be our new and
expanded 23-bed Intensive Care and Progressive Care units featuring
all private suites. Also available at UCH-Carrollwood is a wide
range of radiological procedures for diagnosis and treatment including
diagnostic imaging from X-rays to ultrasound, mammography, nuclear
medicine, computerized axial tomography (CT) scans, MRI and special
procedures.

The Certified Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team
who performs EXCEPTIONAL technical support in the perioperative period
under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to
the accepted clinical standards of care.

expertise such as Spine Surgery experience!
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum High School graduate, AA degree
preferred. Successful completion of Surgical Technologist approved
course. Current CST certification required along with 1 to 3
years of CST experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Interpersonal Skills
- Completion of validation skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment and sterile field set-up
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques
- Laser skills/ training
